Important Dates

August 22 - September 27

Submit your one-hour presentation and complete the presentation proposal form by September 27, 2024

October 16

SENIA sends out acceptance notification and speaker agreement

October 25

If accepted, return your speaker agreement by October 25

December 6

Selection Criteria

The SENIA Selection Committee happily reviews all proposals and makes determinations based on specific criteria

Audience Reach

The workshop’s ability to reach a variety of audiences (beginner/intermediate/advanced in understanding of the topics) and from different levels of education (elementary, middle, high, administrative, etc.)

Takeaways

The workshop provides 3-5 clear, actionable takeaways for session attendees

Theme and Strand Alignment

The workshop aligns with the overall theme (Belonging and Beyond)and at least one of the designated strands

Expectations After Acceptance

Review the presenter guidelines
Ensure you have permission from your employer to travel to the conference
Submit Speaker Agreement with acceptance (by November 1)
Prepare your speaker profile on our event platform, Whova. We will send you a personalized link
Register for the conference using your special presenter registration ticket code by December 6
Create a one-minute introduction video. This is your chance to hype up participants and encourage them to attend your session as they determine their conference agenda by January 16
Provide a slide deck or handouts for participants by February 12
Promote your participation within your network leading up to the conference (we will provide social media graphics)
Arrive at the conference ready to share in a wonderful co-learning experience!

Presenter Registration Discount

Thank you in advance for presenting at a SENIA conference! SENIA presenters are often seen as experts in their field and highly regarded by members of the SENIA Community.

To remain sustainable and fund initiatives like scholarships, SENIA relies on conference registration fees. As a token of appreciation, presenters receive a $100 discount off the full registration price.

Co-presenters receive $50 off the registration fee. Note SENIA does not accept presentations with more than two co-presenters.
